Siblings Arraigned For Gang Raping A 23-Year-Old Housewife In Lagos; Then Robbed Her!!!

Two brothers, Ifeanyi Amos, 30 and Joseph
Amos, 24 have been arraigned before a
Magistrates’ court sitting in Ejigbo for allegedly
raping a 23-year-old housewife in Egbe-Ikotun,
Lagos State. The suspects allegedly raped and
stole recharge card seller worth N400,000 from
the victim.
They reportedly accosted the victim while going
to purchase cards, even as they lured and then
raped her in Ifeanyi’s house at 6, Ariwa Street,
Council Bus stop, Egbe-Ikotun.
It was learnt that the suspects threatened to kill
her if she told the husband and the police of the
act, even as she later told her husband.
According to her, “since the incident happened, I
have been traumatised and besides, I cannot
allow my husband touch me until certain
traditional rituals are performed. Otherwise
untimely deaths will happen in the family.”
The matter was reported at Ikotun Police
Division and the suspects were subsequently
arrested and charged to court. The arraignment
followed an advice by the Director of Public
Prosecution, DPP, which recommended they be
tried for rape and stealing.
But the siblings pleaded not guilty to the
charges, the court granted them bail in the sum
of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum. They
were remanded in prison custody pending when
they would perfect their bail condition.
